| This two CD set Christmas album, "Who Is He?" is a collection of 17 Christmas carols of old and new. Pianist and Composer Ariel Gilley presents a variety of beloved carols, arranged in her unique semi-classical style, to celebrate the wonderful season of Christmas. The pieces are positioned under the four subtitles of Before He Came, How He Came, When He Came, and Why He Came, depending on the meaning of each song's lyrics. This way, listeners can easily imagine what happened during the first Christmas by following the major events chronologically. Some pieces are serene and charming, suitable for a soothing night, whereas some are quite dramatic and dazzling with excitement. In addition to that, "Who Is He," the theme song (which is arranged in three different versions), is positioned throughout the album to combine the themes of each carol together as one. |
